Challenge!!

I could not wait more to do my presentation. I did not have anything to do or any homework to finish. I went with my friend R to visit our friend K in J building and to help her with her essay.

R and I started to give K some advices about her grammar and vocabulary along with our other friend J. then we found that sentence "we are living in a world which is developing quickly" R said it must be "the world" and I insisted that it is "a world".

We made a bet … if she wins I will invite her to lunch and if I win then I will invite her. I went with her and J to see her teacher Mr. T. he looked busy but it was kind of him to help us … he said that I was right! I jumped!! But I felt shy of my reaction. Then we asked Mr. DM and Mr. M both of them agreed with me!

R knew that she lost the bet and accepted to pay for my lunch! I told her that I was only joking but she insisted … she said that if I made a bet or not she was planning to invite me! That was really kind of her!

At 4 pm I was preparing to do my presentation but I was shocked when my teacher told me that I am going to do it in Monday! SHOOT!! I was disappointed! Instead of my presentation he showed us a horrible video about the bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki! That video gave me more ideas for my presentation but it made me really sad and upset … that story was more miserable that I ever thought

The First Presentation this Year

“where is he? I am going to be late!” I could not handle the stress anymore. I dialed one of my friends number and told her that the bus did not arrive yet. It was supposed to stop by me around 5:50 am but it was 6:20 and it did not arrive yet!

She called after moments to tell me that the bus driver run into an accident! I did not like the sound of it. if it was in any other day then I will never complain but NOT today!

Last Monday, I had to do a presentation and what a stressful beginning I had! Every thing was ok when the bus driver arrived moments later. My presentation was at 9:00 am and I was not really nervous like I was last year. Last year I was SOOO worried and angry …. I don’t want to repeat the long boring story.

My presentation for my Arabic subject was with a group of girl. We were 7! And I was the third one to do it. I felt so confident when but the thing which made me feel better was the expression on my teacher’s face! He was smiling at me all the time!

And yesterday he told me that he like the way I talk in Arabic, he said that many girls does not like to talk in formal Arabic.. I LOVE to talk in Arabic and I really miss talking in it..

That was my first presentation and I am going to do my GLOBAL presentation today. Enshallah I will do will.

I Could not Make It

Lately my bro M introduced me to one of his friends' sisters by phone. It started when He was talking to his friend and his friend's sister wanted to talk to me. Her name is S and she is only 10 years only! So cute and lively!

Today my bro wanted to invite some of his high school friends for tea. I asked him to ask his friend to bring S along with him. His friend told him that he can not because his older sister does not agree. I was so sad, M noticed that and did his best to convince his friend to bring his sister.

I was so sad, I wanted so bad to meet S. My bro canceled the party and asked me if I can go with him to his friend's house where I can see S too. I was so delighted … I had another hope. I called my father and I wish that I did not. He said "NO!!" and hung up his phone.

S talked to me after moments and said that she is sorry because she can not come. I don’t know what happen after that but my brother's friend came later and brought some cute paintings from S!

I asked M to buy some chocolates for S and her little brothers. It was so sad that I could not meet her but maybe one day I will.

Enjoyable company!

I am so happy lately… almost everyday I meet someone new or make new friendships or learn something new. There are many new friends I met so far ,they are so nice and friendly. Most of them are from level 5 but they are so sweet and fun to be with. There teachers are Mr. T and Mr. D the one and only.

In Wednesday, the girls invited me to their class. I thought it was not ok for Mr. T but he did not disagree. He was planning to give them a lesson on how to do a presentation.

Mr. D joined us later, I believe that it was an important lesson that the both of them thought the same class. First we took some notes while we watched a video. The video was so important and I enjoyed it. I believe that the information I learnt from it will help me in my future presentations.

Then we discussed our notes with the teachers which were something fun! I did not have a class in readiness for a while now and I really miss my old days.

After class Mr. D asked the girls to have lunch with him and I was involved. I went to the cafeteria with my friends and Mr. D followed us later. I sat with my friends and Mr. D in the same table. I had a nice chat with my friends and Mr. D. He told me that Mr. G told him that he has lunch with his students sometimes and I knew that fact.

I enjoyed the day, besides it was the first time this year I have a lunch with a teacher. If I was not with my friends then some people will not close their mouths. But it will not be the last one enshallah … its so relaxing to have nice Wednesdays

A Day with the Ks..C5

Final Chapter: Farewell!

Before leaving, some girl took photos of Mr. D and his family. Mr. D asked me if it is ok for me to walk his family to the gate – since my last class starts at 4 pm- I agreed of course … before I leave, I told him I was sorry for going out like that … he asked about the matter and I told him. He felt sorry for me but he thanked me for everything I did for his family … he did not need to thank me; I did it with my pleasure…

I walked Mrs. K and the kids to the gate, I said goodbye to them with a smile hoping to meet them again. I will never forget that day…I met Mrs. K such a sweet lady who I will never forget; I saw another side of Mr. D… I saw Mr. D the father who is lucky to have a gorgeous wife… his kids – my cousins- C and I …they were so nice and lively……they are lucky to have such parents mashallah.. God protect them forever

A Day with the Ks..C4

Chapter 4: Memories!

“He really looks like my uncle” my friends A & A heard me saying that. I told them once about my uncle who looked like Mr. D but passed away. They wanted to know his story and I did…

It was hard to remember the past and the most painful days of my life – if you want to know the story read “they are in my heart”-. After telling them the story, I looked at Mr. D... And a vision of my uncle came in to my mind. I looked back at my friends and…. I ran out the class as fast as I can.

A followed me; she took me to the toilets where I washed my face. I stayed calm and I told her and the other A – who followed later-- that I was trying not to remember my uncle whenever I see Mr. D but this time I could not help it but to cry… I imagined my uncle with a wife and children who he never had.

On the way back to class, A told me that Mr. D noticed that I went out without saying a word… I did not know what to tell him. When I entered the class, no one seemed to notice that I was gone except Mr. D.

Chapter 3: Students Meets the Cute Family!

Mrs. K was so nice to be with! I loved chatting with her. She talked about her life and how she met Mr. D. that was not the first time for me to meet her but it was the first time I talk to her face to face.

Some student came to say hi to N and her kids. They were kind of shocked to know that this is Mr. D’s family. Some student did not expect that he was married!! Mrs. K asked me to come and visit her at home, if that is ok with me. I would love to do that but when? I don’t know…. At 3 pm Mr. D called his wife and asked her to come to his class.

I took them to the class. We arrived to G114. I went in first … everyone went quiet like they are waiting for celebrities – they were actually-- … they screamed when they saw the little I coming in followed by his mother and C. “Oh they are so cute” “that one looks like his father!!” “I can not decide which one looks more handsome” those were things the students said when they first saw the cute family.

The great news was that C’s birthday was in the next day so we sang the birthday song for him.

The girls gave the kids some chocolate, and my friends A, A, A and A gave them a bag full of sweets! Some girls took I and played with him, others played with C and my friends talked to Mrs. K.

A Day with the Ks!...C2

Chapter two: The meeting

I waited about 5 minuets when I saw Mr. D coming inside. I went toward him; he told me that his family is coming right behind him. I promised him to take care of them. Then I saw his wife Mrs. K! She came in first and was followed by her adorable kids C and I. I went to greet her – she knew that someone named Maryam was waiting for her!- the first thing that pumped in to my mind after she shock my hand and kissed my cheeks was – this woman is so sweet and kind—

I took her to the cafeteria with C and I. I liked the both of them a lot. I wanted to buy lunch for all of them but Mrs. K – N- did not agree, she said that they already had lunch. She said also that I can pay for their lunch when I got money from my own job and she offered to buy lunch for me but I was not really hungry. I liked her way of thinking!! But still I wanted to pay for what her kids wanted to buy. Next time I will do that enshallah.

We sat together, I had a nice chat with her and her kids! C the older one was another exact copy of Mr. D. He had the same way of talking, joking, running and things like that mashallah but I the younger was so quiet! I believe that he got his mom’s personality but Mr. D’s looks.

Those boys were so polite. I remember that I was talking to Mrs. K when C interrupted us. Suddenly he apologized! This is something you don’t find kids do in here. I loved the way Mr. and Mrs. K raised their kids.

A Day with the Ks!..C1

Chapter one: When I Heard the News..

People who know me very well, know that I love to communicate with others– students and teachers --and to chat with them. But I did not expert communicating with teachers’ family members.

It all started last week when I had a slight misunderstanding fight with Mr. D. I was angry with him, but I am not anymore that misunderstanding was cleared. I don’t know why I start every year with a fight with Mr. D. but as he told me it make people closer – yeah right- I just LOOOOOOVE to tease Mr. D! It’s an enjoyable thing to do

After clearing things between us, he told me that he will bring his family in Wednesday. I was so happy and I asked him if it is ok to meet his family and spend sometime with them. He agreed to the idea after he knew that I don’t have classes in the time of their arrival, I told him that I can pick them from the gate and take them to the cafeteria….

In Wednesday, Mr. D told me that his family will arrive afternoon around 1:40 pm. I finished all my work and homework. I met some of his students at lunch; they told me that they are prepared to meet his family. They brought 2 toys – cars--, chocolate and some nice dry flowers! They asked me for help with the balloons.

OPPS!! I have problem with balloons…. but I wanted to blow some. Everything was ok till I bombed my balloon!!Around 1:40 I was on my way to gate A!

9th of September, Last Year...

I can not believe that a whole year had passed since I started writing in my blog! a whole year of writing online … something I did not expert before.

When Mr. G first told me and my old classmates about this blog thing, I had no idea what he was talking about. By the passing time, I enjoyed writing in my blog more and more. Especially that I am writing about something I really like.

Even after finishing my course with Mr. G I did not stop writing till this day. Some of the topics were funny .. others were sad … some were embarrassing and serious but one sure thing.. I enjoyed writing them.

I sent this website to couple of my teachers who admired it and asked me to keep recording in it. Of course I did not say that I created this blog by myself. I told them that it was Mr. G’s idea, I could not send it without mentioning his name, I felt like it was not fair for him

Some people complained about specific topics because I mentioned them. I did not mention them by name or their first litter but they knew that I was talking about them. “Wrong Ideas” was the topic which had the most objections. I was expressing my opinions in this topic and they did not like it…

This is my blog, I can write whatever I want whenever I want. I don’t write about something so personal or about anything which can harm people deeply, I just like to express my opinions and feelings… for that, I will keep writing as long as its not hurting anybody.

I just want to thank everybody who read my blog and supported me in the previous year. I don’t want to thank people by name, I am afraid that I may forget someone. But I have a special thanks to Mr. G who and thanks to him I have this blog and I am still writing in it. SO THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ME ALL THE TIME AND THANKS FOR READING MY BLOG!

And…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIOLET ROSE!

I was supposed to write about my blog’s birthday at 9/9 but many things happened and I could not….

NOISY NEW STUDENTS!

I was planning to meet my friends in the cafeteria at the lunch time. When I passed by G building I heard a LOOUD music coming from the cafeteria! I met my new friends there and I asked them about all that stuff!

They told me that the new students are responsible of this noise! The noise was unbearable some teachers and students took there lunch out. I wanted to do something but I did not know how! If there is a wedding there is no possibility that the music will be that loud!

Suddenly out of nowhere, the music stopped!! I saw Ms. P from A building talking to some girls. The new students took there stuffs and went out. I did not expect that a girl from UAQ was the one who went to A building and told them about that event!

It was a horrible day and I hope that it would not happen again. Yesterday was full of surprises! I laughed, shouted, cried, fought and did a lot of work … this is life!

It Was Kind of Fun!

I guess that I’m enjoying writing my blog in the bus. It’s a really good way to kill time. 7:15 am I cant believe that1 hour and a half had passed since I get inside here. It’s difficult to be the first one to get in.

What a weekend I had! At Wednesday I woke up late and my granny’s sisters were still at home they stayed till afternoon then my Dad took them back to Sharjah. At night my brothers and I moved some furniture from the first floor to the second … following my Dad’s commands. I did not move anything, my job was cheering my brothers but that did not go anywhere!!!

Thursday afternoon, my Dad brought some carpets – our home is not completely ready--. I was so delighted!! Finally my room got a beige carpet very suitable to the rest of the furniture! At night, my father and I talked about old poems and poetries and we had a lot of fun! Unfortunately my bros did not join us; they don’t like this kind of talks.

Friday was full of worries. My bro M was supposed to go to UAEU to organize some stuffs, he did not start studying yet. The problem that he missed the bus to Al-Ain. My father was obliged to take him to Sharjah were he can take a bus from there.

Long weekend but it was kind of fun! I somehow enjoyed it. So I guess the real work will begin this week, I’m looking forward to my Arabic class! I missed talking with my native language and the conversation with my Dad in the weekend made me want to be closer to my language … I can’t believe that I did not really keep in touch with it.
