Summer Drama..."Princess Lulu"

A girl from a high class family and a guy from an average one are this drama’s main characters. Since the girl was a child, she was treated as a princess and got what she wanted. Her grandpa was the one who raised her but controlled every aspect of her life.. she agreed with him on everything except for one thing… “Love”

The guy is well known as a successful businessman and a playboy! He was famous for being able to get any girl he wanted by using his techniques, which I myself find not really that efficient…it was just for the drama. He could seduce any girl he liked but once he met the “real love” of his life, he realized that she was the only who could not fall for his tricks…but the only one who could capture his heart.

And once again, this drama contained business within it! I could remember some stuff related to my major while watching it. I liked the nicknames that the characters gave each other. At the beginning, she called him “Player”, and he called her “Bomb”… when their relationship developed, he asked her to call him “Mine” instead of “Player”!

I laughed A LOT in this drama! It equally contained comedy and romance. They way the actors acted made me enjoy every bit of it. The girl acting so innocently, the guy’s funny accent when he talk and joke with the girl and the scene that the “third” party made near the SEA “the last posted picture, is not he cool?”…those things I will surely not forget this drama!

It was another brilliant drama for this summer! Mostly, I have been watching Korean dramas! I think that I should watch more of other asian dramas … I will do that later coz now I am busy watching a new beautiful one “To Marry a Millionaire”

Summer Drama..."Hotelier"

Two years ago, I watched this drama but the original Korean version. When I saw the new poster of the drama, my jaw dropped for two reasons….one, it was a Japanese version and two, Bae Young Joon was acting on its first Episode. This guy was in the first Korean drama I ever watched “Winter Sonata” besides; he acted in the original Korean drama as the male lead.

The whole story is about worker in a hotel and you could see how HARD it is to manage it. The story begins in a search of one of the staff who was forced to leave because he was framed for something he did not do. But he was needed at the hotel as the late president wished if he can be the General Manager to deal with a crisis that was about to happen.

The main girl went looking for him, those two were once lovers, and on her search for him she met a handsome rich of few words man. The girl would meet her ex lover and after begging, he decided to go back to the hotel. The other “few words man” went to that hotel because he felt unrecognized feelings for the girl.

Another love triangle we would obviously see in this drama. The girl who let go of her ex and found her own path, the GM who could not let go and the mysterious guy who would turn up to be a “spy” for a company that wanted to take over the hotel…

It was very exciting! It was not only a love story, it involved business as well! I cant believe that major is making me think while watching a drama… that was the first Japanese drama for this summer, a really good start..

Summer Drama..."Only You"

I was so delighted watching this drama! Its main environment was the KITCHEN! The main female lead is a girl who love cooking and chose to study it instead of what her mom wanted her to. With help from her childhood friend, who loved her secretly, she ran from her college and went to Italy. She wanted to learn a receipt for pasta from a Korean lady who lived there.

In Italy, she joined a cooking school and immediately started looking for the Korean lady. She soon bumped into a guy who would turn up to be the Korean lady’s son. That son went to Italy searching for his mother; he wanted to know why she abandoned him when he was little along with his older sister.

Both of them were having the same target so they started helping each other to reach her. The guy got the shock of his life once he heard that his mother was getting married. On the other hand, in a way the girl managed to learn the receipt from the lady. In order to comfort him, the girl cooked pasta for the guy who was so touched saying “It tastes like my mother’s cooking” … and from that point, well you can say that “one thing led to another”

In the following morning, the girl’s childhood friend discovered what happened between his love and that guy! The main guy left once he heard unpleasant info from the “friend” and left the girl without saying much.

She left her school in Italy and went back to Korea… 6 years later, we see that the girl had a baby and living poorly doing her best to support her family and kid. Everything seemed normal and hard in her life until she met the father of her son… and the excitement began once they realized that they were still having feelings for each other.

I loved the cooking scenes in this drama, always made me hungry! The story was dramatic in some parts! I loved the cute kid and the way he treated his mom! I liked the idea of Italy being on stage, it created a different environment for the drama, since Italy is considered famous for it’s romantic atmosphere and Italian pasta.

A very nice drama … the only thing that made it a little bit different from other is the fact that a man does not know that he had a son somewhere…while watching it the only thing I was concerned about “When is she going to TELL him?"

Summer Drama..."Great Inheritance"

I can’t help a smile that is drowning at my face right now, at the thought of this amazing KDrama! One of the most remarkable dramas which I am sure that I won't get bored of watching it over and over again! Really really cool!

A gangster who works for a man that he considers as his own father is our hero. This gangster would inherit a great inheritance from his late mother…..a Kindergarten!! Yea open your eyes WIDE! That was the gangster's inheritance. In his mother's will, she stated that he can't completely inherit it unless he manages to be its chairman for 100 days. His idea of closing down and selling the KG flew away. Though they were only 100 days, he could not handle the idea. As annoying to his as it was, he was forced to accept it. He did not like the kids, teachers, parents… or anything that involved the kindergarten.

Slowly, he would realize why his mother left him that inheritance. Besides, the romance starts once he fell for a teacher who would do anything to protect her students and work environment. He soon would protect it himself from people who want to take the kindergarten and its land by force including his so-called "boss" in one side and his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend and his "original" dad from the other.

I don’t remember laughing while watching a drama like I did with this one! Maybe because it included a soft cute side, kids, and a tough serious side, the gangsters. The senses with the kids were so cute! I loved the way they kept teasing their teacher! It was a really fantastic drama!!! I know that if I got the chance, I would see it again…but for now, I should look for a new one! But I will miss the way the kids talk "Dah Dah SunSanneem"…'Yes Yes Teacher"

Summer Drama..."The Rose"

WEIRD!!!! Was the first word I described this drama with. The first thing that attracted me to it was its title "The Rose". What directly came in mind was Westlife latest cover single that carries the same title. To my surprise, I heard that song in the drama many times but it was not sang by Westlife but the original once which was sang by a woman.

The storyline is about a girl who discovered, after the death of her grandma, that her mother was still alive. To her surprise, her mother was a famous actor. So, she made her way to her mother's house to get the shock of her life!

Her mother married 4 times and that her father was her mother's third husband. She discovers that she had an older sister "Fu Rong", older brother "Jin" and a younger brother "Kui". Her mother allowed her to stay but to work as a maid. At the beginning both Fu Rong and Kui would treat her like a trash because she was neither pretty nor attractive unlike them. They kept asking their mom if she was really their, Mimi, little sister.

On the other hand, Jin, the older brother, is a pretty weird boy. He becomes a different person once he is drunk and treats his sister well. What the weird about this story the story itself. I was terrified at the beginning once some thoughts came to my head…"Will it be a love story between a brother and sister?!" I almost vomited at the thought…I was thinking about quitting it BUT! After few episodes, the story became more interesting once a truth came into play. She was not their biological sister; she was adopted by the third husband who treated her as a daughter (LONG STORY). The conclusion was, she was not related to Jin, who she started falling for, or Fu Rong…but to Kui since both had the same father but different mothers!

Complicated huh? You have no idea! But slowly I grow to like it! It was mostly funny! I won't forget how she was trying to lose weight! She just reminded me with myself! Jin, the serious blue eyed handsome boy! Fu Rong, the lazy arrogant lady but deep inside really kind! Kui, the guy who never loses his appetite and never gains weight LUCKY HIM!

One more thing the main characters names came from flowers and you could see roses everywhere in that drama for that it was called "The Rose".... It was strange at the beginning and I did not like some of the scenes…but beside that it was good! The first Taiwanese drama for the summer! Will it be the last?

Summer Drama..."The Snow Queen"

I heard some of my friends talking about this drama during the previous semester. I wanted to watch it but had no time. However, I manage to do so during this summer.

It's a story about this brilliant math guy Han Doug Ku who found a really good friend in his school. The story took a huge turn after hearing the terrible news of his friend's death. Doug Ku blamed himself for the death of his friend and spent the 8 following years in misery and learnt his friend's favorite sport "Boxing".

He then would meet Kim Bo Ra, an arrogant rich, big headed, short tempered, iced heart queen girl who was suffering from a disease since she was a child. When Han Doug Ku meets Bo Ra, he became surprise of how arrogant she was! Slowly, they would develop feelings for each other. Another huge twist happens when Doug Ku discovers that she is his dead friend's younger sister! Besides, he met her twice when she was in secondary school 8 years ago without knowing her relationship with his friend!

This drama made me cry a lot especially in the last 3 episodes. I just loved that drama…It was fun watching Bo Ra fight Doug Ku over and over again, it was a way of hiding her feelings… Bo Ra was treating the poor guy like her servant but at the end, we see that he would become more than just a servant

I won't forget the stubbornness that Bo Ra had and Han Doug Ku the amazing math student! One of my favorite dramas this year! The actor is really cute but not my type… as I usually say "Too handsome guys are not my type"

Summer Drama..."1% of Anything"

My first impression about the first drama was “what a weird title!” It tells a story about a school teacher who helped an old man in the train station. That old man turned to be a chairman of a really big company who resigned that day leaving the company and its issues to his both grandsons. The old man was worried about his stubborn short-tempered grandson. He wrote his will saying that if one of his grandsons got to a girl, which the old man chose, he will get most of the inheritance.

The stubborn guy went crazy because of that… he did not want to get married to someone that he doesn’t know! Anyways, with his lawyer he went to visit the girl in school. He wanted to know how she seduced his grandpa! When the two met and after the lawyer explained the whole situation, both main characters went CRAZY! They objected and I could not imagine being married to one another.

However, the teacher needed to send one of her most brilliant students to study abroad but she did not have the money. She contacted the guy to come out with a deal. They ended up agreeing on dating for the next 10 months if the guy agreed on supporting the brilliant student financially. And so the story goes!

It was a normal good start for this summer. This drama made me really laugh! When the guy slowly started developing feelings for the girl, I could not stop watching it! He did not allow her to be closer to any guy and followed her all the time! A typical Korean drama loved it! What bugged me though was the parents who did not stop objecting on the marriage later on when the story gets most exciting :D

How is summer going so far? ... TO THE MOVIES!

When I woke up in the morning and after getting dressed, my brother suggested going to the movies! I did not mind at all! For one, I did not go there for a long time and for two…it was the first time that I go there with my brother.

My younger brother did not bother; he was not in the mood of watching any movie. After we dropped him in the BC, we went to Mega-Mall. We reached it around 10:30 AM. I asked my bro about the movie he wanted to watch, “Die Hard” he said. I liked that series since I was a child; I am not an action fan though!

My brother bought the tickets and when we entered the theater, I was so happy! My bro and I were the only ones there! YAY!! However, there were two other guys who joined but…it felt like that place was owned by us!

The movies started and it was a REAAALLY action movie! Too much fantasy but was really good! Bruce willies did a really good job as well. There were many sense where I laughed, closed my eyes because of them! But it was really fun!!

Once we finished the movie, we went to pick up my little bro from the BC. We told him about the movie and he was still not interested. I told that I am inviting both of them for lunch and asked them to pick up a place! We went to the KFC, I did not buy from that place for a while…but it won’t kill to have some of it from time to time!

I needed to go out; it was a really good day. I enjoyed spending it with my brothers. Hopefully, the three of us will go to the movies next time…I am sure it will more fun!

How is summer going so far? ... Boring? Dramas?

Boring, boring, BORING!!! This is what I addressed this vacation in its first 2 weeks! There was nothing much to do! the only time I jumped with joy is when I knew about my previous semester’s results …. One A and the rest were Bs! Though I expected much better than this, I accepted it! It was the best I can do…however, it gave me a motivation to change my learning style!

Enough of the serious stuff! Since the vacation started, I was felling my time by watching dramas…AGAIN! I mean I just love those dramas. In my next blogs, I will write my own reports about them. Watching dramas all the time is really really tiring! The storylines are always nice but you get bored of doing the same thing over and over again.

I asked dad once to take me out but he is always busy! “Why don’t M take me out? He takes A to the British Council everyday! Why don’t I go with him?” I said to my dad in one of the nights “Then go”… once I heard it from dad, and once my brothers were ok with it…I prepared to go out…FINALLY!

My Belove Device!

I always had the idea of buying an MP3. However, I never got the chance to go out and simply buy it!!! That was because I was so busy with the university and stuff.

At the beginning of April, I felt like I needed a break to go out. I asked my bro to take me shopping. I was planning to go back home that night having that device with me! My bro and I went shopping together, my little bro preferred to stay in the town to play football with his friends.

We went to the Central Market first, that place is my favorite one for shopping! I get all I need from there! We went to an electronic shop in there. When I asked for an MP3 player….he said that he got an MP4! I had no idea before that day that here is something called MP4! I looked at my bro asking for explanations “It can play videos as well”…I grained hearing that!

I bought it! It was light beautiful and really amazing! Since that day and that device became part of my body which I rarely leave! I can listen to my favorite MP3s, radio, save photos and see them; record…I love the options I have in my device!

And since I am really good at losing stuff, I hang it on my neck in order not to lose it! Now that I have it, Westlife are with me more than before: D
