Guess who Got a Job!

Wow! It has been a while since the last update! I think I did not write anything for about…3 weeks!! Many things are happening in my life now…

In the 9th of July I received a phone call from a woman who told me that I was accepted as a Literature organizer in the summer school in UAQ! I thought it will be a piece of cake job and I was wrong.. as fun as it sounds, I found many difficulties but thanks God everything started to get clearer in my vision. The ages of my students are between 7 till 17 and I found it hard sometimes to deal with this difference. However, their number is increasing and decreasing from day to day.. Sometime they are 47! In others, they are less

Some of my students are so nice, full of energy and welling to work. While others made me angry that, I shouted at them couple of times. In my class, I try to make them aware of the importance of their Arabic identity, we read poems, talk about useful world stuff like "The Seven Wonders" for example, write about their feelings toward something …etc. Next week, with God's well, I am welling to teach them some general information about different countries.

Beside that, I teach them some interesting English stuff. I made that in 2 days of the week. We talk in simple English and we watch some stuff in English beside writing some basics.

Last week, we had visitors from the Ministry, they were pleased with what they saw …Thanks God. Moreover, I take my students to trips as well. So far, I took them to 2 trips one in the UAQ and the other one was to Leger land in Dubai…Now I can feel how my teachers must felt teaching us and taking us to trips….teaching is not an easy job, that’s for sure.

World Cup 2006!

It has been around one month since the 18th world cup started! And I can not believe that I did not write anything about that in my blog! In the beginning I wanna say that I am not a CRAZY football fan…I like that game but I am not so into watching every single match in the world cup!

The teams which I supported and I will keep supporting are Germany, South Korea and Japan. Unfortunately, none of them reached the final match….Germany lost and Italy won, I was sad but the Italians were good and they deserved to win.

Today, Germany will play with Portugal to book the third and forth. Though I like the Portugal team I wish Germany to win this game…in fact I will be happy if any of them won…..

The thing that I felt sad for was for my favorite Germany football player Michael Ballak when I saw him "Saying goodbye to his dream with tears" as AlKhaleej Newspaper said ---Is it only me or he looks like Jared?---. The same goes for the football player who I don’t really like David Bekham! Believe it or not, I really felt sad for him…

This year's world cup was nice not perfect but good….though I did not get the chance to know the news of all of the matches… and now for the final match, I am with Italy!!

Quiet but Busy Summer...

This summer is going as I never expected it to be! Its so busy with not really interesting stuff. But still there are sometime when I wish that I could be doing something useful…like preparing for a presentation for example

When I wake up and if it is around 9 or 10 am, I go to the kitchen to cook lunch. I love cooking and it is one of the things that keep me busy for hours. In the afternoon, I listen to music (English, Arabic, Japanese….all kinds), play games like final fantasy 8 and resident evil 3 my best favorite video game or read something on the web.

I prepare for dinner around 5 or 6 pm and sometime I go for a walk around the house until the sunset. I have a shower then I go to the kitchen to cook dinner. I forgot to mention that I go to visit my granny in the ICU at 6 pm since it’s the time which we are allowed to visit her…God may bless her.

At night, I read a novel, walk sometimes or keep playing games. But before I go to bed … I have a pen and papers near my bed to write a poem. Sometimes, they turn out very good and in others, when I read them again, I stare at it like WHAT WAS I THNIKING!!!.

This is a sample of some stuff I do in this summer, I don’t know how I will handle the next 2 months…those days are moving really slowly but with God's will.. I will survive.
