In my 20th BD...People who made me smile
“I am going to be 20 soon! I wonder what I have been doing during the last 20 years of my life. And what is going to happen when I turn double that age! A lot of things would have been changed!” those ideas occupied my mind before my BD and I had a feeling it would be a special one as it would be my 20th BD in the 20th of Nov.
The first good sign was given by my band Westlife. They were planning to release their 8th album, which is my favorite lucky number, in my BD! And they actually did it! I can’t wait to get my hands on that Album.
Monday, November 20, 2006 was the day I turned 20! By the mid-night, couple of close people messaged me including my sis! In that morning, I wore violet and purple like last year besides brown contact lenses for the first time! Some of my friends in the bus congratulated me while others, who I expected them to say something, did not actually they were planning something but I was not sure what it was.
On campus, I was really cheerful, saying hi to everyone and being simply happy! My friends loved my new look I mean with the lenses and all. Whenever anyone ask “How are you?” I reply “I’m 20”
I felt kinda bored later so I went to see Mr. D. I was planning to give him a hard time and ask him if he needs my help with presentations again, but none of that happened because he remembered my BD! I was so touched and happy. He sang the BD song with Mr. P.D. causing Mr. K who was nearby to wonder what was going on. Mr. D told whoever was around us that it was my BD so thanks to him many people knew.
I reached my English class that afternoon to see Ms. P, who knew about my BD from Mr. D, talking with Mr. St my English teacher. Once she saw me “Did you know that student’s BD is today?” I have never seen Mr. St look so shocked as he was at that moment. In class, he told the girls about it after asking my permission…
I thought that my BD ended once I left the campus but something big was waiting for me.
