Chapter 2: I think it happened before

Our third place we aimed for was the Ministry of Civil Defense in UAQ! We did not know where the manager was, so we asked an Indian man who was working there. He asked us to follow him and we did. He took us through the stairs to the fourth floor. I was walking near E in order to protect her from falling with the gift… and guess what? I end up falling on my both knees on the hard floor! The Indian man looked shocked along with another one who appeared out of nowhere!! --- does not that sound familiar? --- my students were shocked and asked me if I am ok….well, I WAS NOT! But I told them that it hurts a little. When we arrived to the manager's place, we were shocked again! Why? Because the manager was in a romantic mood! He was turning on a soft music. We ignored that, went to him, and thanked him for the support and their part of teaching the girls about Civil Defense for one week in the summer school.

The last place was to UAQ's Radio Station. The security showed us the way to the reception where a girl showed us the way to the manager! Like the others, he was happy and appreciates us coming to him! I never visited those places and I don’t think I would have if I did not work in the summer school.

At 9:30 am we were on our way to Sahara Center. There were 10 girls between the ages of 11- 16 and it was easy for me to handle them along with the general manager and 2 of the organizers. One of the girls said that she want to go back home because my earrings were prettier than hers! Well, little girls are always like that!
