Through the Rain!

I am not talking about Maria Cary’s song here….I am writing about the last 2 days where I was so delighted! It was raining! The last time it rained was back on campus!! Like my granny’s sister said “It did not rain like this year for about 45 or 50 years” I just loved the rain and I had a wish to walk under it

Whenever I wanted to walk under the rain, I take this idea off my mind. Daddy doesn’t like the idea of walking under the rain because he is afraid that I might catch cold. But tonight I finally did it.

Around 12:00 am, I was in my room preparing to write a poem or listen to music when I heard the drops of rain….it were the third time already and it was my chance. I grabbed my sweater, ran down the stairs, and opened the door. For a second, I was frozen, I was about to take that idea off my mind but!! I saw myself throwing my sweater away and going it to the rain wearing only my pajamas which were not enough to keep me warm.

I felt the drops on my face, hair, arms and legs!! It was AMAZING! I have never done it before; I never had a rain shower! Whenever I wanted to go back to my room, the rain becomes stronger and held me back. I was walking and dancing under the rain and for seconds, I thought that I lost my mind. I prayed for those who I care for… I wished if they saw it raining tonight. When I finally realized that I was so wet from head to toes…I made my way back to my room.

I felt so cold and for that I had a warm shower which refreshed me. It was such an unforgettable experience but if dad caught me then I am so dead! Will I do that again? OF COURSE! If I got the chance! Now, All what I am hoping for is not to wake up tomorrow and find out that I caught cold…
